Summary

Shortly after the Cardiac Care Unit opened at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya, it became clear that the nursing staff would benefit from having a nurse educator work side-by-side with them in the CCU.  Since 2014, Cory Miller has generously donated her vacation time to travel across the globe several times, modelling the delivery of quality cardiac care for patients and staff and developing lasting relationships.  This led to her spearheading a fundraising campaign for one of the staff who needed open heart surgery.  Cory has also graciously mentored several visiting faculty and trainees from MTRH at Duke Hospital.
